Many of us are struggling to make ends meet. Month after month still striving to make the money last to the next payment, so we once again can start over and do it all over again, and repeat the pattern. After doing the same things myself after a period of time, I finally made an adjustment in my life. I decided to take the advice from several persons. Doing what most of the older generation is doing: HUNTING FOR SALES!

Ive always been told to spend my money wisely, but I must admit its quite difficult when there’s so much to buy and so much to choose from. So I failed on this task until 2 years ago, when I decided that enough is enough. Im not going to spend all our money on food and struggling to pay bills.

I grabbed my pen and notebook, sat down with my wife, and we started planning. We made a plan concisting of:

-Dinner for the next 14 days (I know its sounds much, but once you start thinking I bet you easily can come up with 14 meals you like, that doesnt cost a lot)

-Buying and stacking up on offers that suits the dinner plan.

-How much we would eat for breakfeast and supper. (what you like and what you most often eat)

-What types of products we could replace with cheaper ones. (This is a vital point since most of us are used to buying the products that we think is the best, but most often have the higher price. So one should lower the bar of what one think is the best quality)

-Next step is taking the trip to the supermarket and the different other stores with your notebook to check out the prices and see what kind of products you will be able to save on. Either by bying potatoes, milk, bread etc from one store or the other. The key is: lower price, even though it isnt much in some cases, you will still save on it! On some products there could be a huge difference in where you buy it. So take the time to explore the different stores. Even though I felt kind of stupid the first time I was writing down the different price tags, this is still the best part that makes your eyes open up and really see how much there is to save.

An example: Do you really need the most wellknown soda that has the highest price??? Or will you be willing to lower your demands and settle with the cheaper one that has allmost the same taste???

There will always be some extra things you would have to buy, but still you are ready to meet the next 14 days without the worry and mental effort on what to eat or buy today. And you will also not be tempted each day to buy things in the supermarket, since youre not there. You also know exactly how much you will be using on food each month, and you will see more exactly how much each things costs when you have to buy ten times the same thing each time.

The money you save from doing this, can be used on other bills or savings instead.

So the keywords would be:

planning, research, lower your demands, hunt down offers, stack up and one last thing…stay away from the supermarket unless its really necessary!!!

Hope this will be helpfull for the ones that needs the tips and how to’s.
